This session is entirely dedicated to understanding you. A whole-body approach will be used to uncover the root cause of your pain or limitations, ensuring that we’re not just chasing symptoms, but creating a long-term solution. Here's what you can expect in your first session:​

Understanding Your Story

We start by listening to your story, your symptoms and your concerns. We'll explore your injury history, activity levels, lifestyle habits and what you've tried before. No detail is too small, because everything contributes to the bigger picture.​

Hip Conditions We Treat

Gluteal Tendinopathy (or Hip Bursitis)

An overuse injury of the tendons on the outside of the hip, particularly the gluteus medius/minimus. Symptoms often present as pain when lying on your side, standing/sitting for prolonged periods and walking.

Hip Labral Tear

Damage to the cartilage ring (labrum) that lines the hip socket. Can be caused by trauma, sports, or repetitive movements, and may occur with structural issues like hip impingement. This leads to sharp groin pain and clicking sensation.

Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)

A mechanical issue where the bones of the hip joint don’t fit together perfectly, causing abnormal contact and wearing down the joint. Individuals may present with pinching pain with squatting and prolonged sitting.

Hip Osteoarthritis

A degenerative condition where the cartilage cushioning the hip joint wears down over time, leading to stiffness, inflammation and pain, especially with walking, prolonged sitting, or first thing in the morning.

Referred Pain from Low Back

Sometimes what feels like hip pain actually originates from the lower back or sacroiliac joint. Nerves from the spine can refer pain to the buttock, groin, or thigh.
